We are not required to appoint a data protection officer (Art. 37 GDPR), because our core activities do not involve large-scale processing of personal data; please send all questions to the address above.

What happens when you visit this website

This website consists of static pages. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no content from third-party servers (no external fonts, scripts or maps).

When a page is requested, our web server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, referrer and browser identifier. This data is used solely for the secure and stable operation of the website and is deleted after 14 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not analyse these logs and do not combine them with other data.

Hosting

The website runs on our own server, located in a STRATO GmbH data centre in Germany.

Contact by email or phone

If you email or call us, we process your name, your contact details and anything you tell us to answer your enquiry. Where it concerns a contract with us or steps towards one, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For all other enquiries it is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Our mailboxes are operated for us by Microsoft 365, as a processor: Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. A transfer to Microsoft Corporation in the USA cannot be ruled out. It is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), under which Microsoft is certified.

We delete your details once your enquiry has been dealt with. Business correspondence, for example about an order, is kept for seven years from the end of the respective year, because the law requires it (§ 212 UGB, § 132 BAO; Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Disclosure of data

Your data is only given to those who need it: the server and email providers named above (STRATO, Microsoft), our tax advisers for the accounts, and authorities where we are legally obliged to. No one else. Nothing is passed on for advertising, and nothing is sold.

Links to other websites

This website links to LinkedIn, the Arlberg Mountain Resort and Allways Brandschutz. Data reaches the respective operator only once you follow a link; their privacy policy then applies.

Your right to object

Where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), that is the web server's access data and emails outside a contract, you may object to this at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then no longer process this data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. An informal message to joerg@schiebel-capital.com is enough.

Your other rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. An informal email or letter to the address above is sufficient; we will usually reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.

No automated decision-making

No procedure decides about you without a human being involved. We do not build profiles.
